The MX136 is a complete system control center that combines the legendary McIntosh analog two channel performance with the latest digital audio and video signal processing and source switching. Four HDMI digital video inputs and five Component video inputs are assignable to any of the eleven audio/video inputs. All standard definition video signals can be transcoded to digital HDMI.

Audiophiles need not give up sound quality for flexibility with an MX136. Balanced and singled-ended audio outputs are supported for all channels. Pure analog and two-channel bypass modes are provided, as is a low noise MM phono preamp. A multi-channel input is included.

An optional TM-1 AM/FM tuner module is available. Programming and customization is made easy via a system of on-screen menus. Bass and treble, loudspeaker level trims as well as surround and music modes are all readily accessible via the frontpanel. The MX136 supports two zones of audio and video, McIntosh power and data control, and is fully RS232 compatible

The MPC1500 features a large torroidal transformer that has been specially wound to act as a low pass filter to remove unwanted harmonic noise on the incoming AC line, while a quick-acting surge suppression circuit features a clamping voltage onset of about 2V above peak nominal voltage for the best possible product protection.

Our trademark illuminated glass front panel features two custom “blue eyes” meters for instant recognition of current and voltage. Six medical-grade duplex outlets allow for the connection of up to 12 separate components. Total current draw for all components is 1,350 Watts, 11.2 Amps.

The new McIntosh MCD500 SACD/CD Player with Digital Inputs combines exceptional sound quality and flexibility with a unique parallel DAC topology. Four 24-Bit, 192 KHz PCM/DSD digital to analog converters per channel are arranged in a differential balanced configuration enabling a more faithful reproduction of the analog waveform resulting in outstanding fidelity with very low noise and distortion. A highly-regulated linear power supply provides the low noise necessary to exploit the full capabilities of the differential balanced audio section. The MR85 features a new "smooth-dialing" flywheel system for manual tuning, permanent memory for all settings and selectable auto-mute for local/distance tuning. An alphanumeric fluorescent display indicates station frequency, station preset, signal strength and band. All nine AM and nine FM presets for each tuner can be custom labeled with any desired name up to eight characters. The MR85 ships with one TM1.

The MR85 is a very high-performance AM/FM broadcast monitor. When you add a second TM1 Tuner Module two people can enjoy superior off air broadcast reception simultaneously.
